All Races begin and end at the Tomah High School Track. The 1K, 5K and 10K races will all begin together, and start off in the same direction. The races will go out the south gate of the track and then turn north towards the trail that goes along the Lemonweir River with a turnaround when it reaches Superior Avenue. All races will cross over Butts Avenue (the 1K at a much earlier point) and follow the trail that goes behind the hospital and along Lake Tomah. When this trail connects with Winnebago Park the 5K and 10K will split. The 1K and the 5K turn back towards the track and finish of the run/walk. The 10K will begin the city loop.
All races are on paved surfaces, either on streets, sidewalks or hiking trails and are relatively flat.
The Children's Run will be held on the High School Track.
